Student honors and scholarshipsThe Purdue News Service now only sends e-mail to the news media. The journalists are very receptive to this, and as a consequence, our news is getting more attention than ever. Because we have changed the way our news is delivered, however, we need to ask your help. In the future, we no longer will be able to accept paper forms. Instead, we request that you send us electronic files of any student honors - scholarship, awards, initiations, etc. Thank you for your assistance. To submit student news to the Purdue News Service please paste or type in information about the student and the honor received in the document available here, and then e-mail the document as an attachment to: studentnews@purdue.edu. Faculty/staff advisers should include a narrative with the who, what, when, where, why and how for the release. Such a narrative can be in outline form but must include an address and phone number for the group contact, plus information about the nature of the organization, the basis for membership, the number of members, the basis for the award, etc. Please be as specific as possible. Often, last year's release can serve as a guide. Please include a copy if you have it. The adviser should send the completed information to the News Service no less than two weeks before an event that requires advance publicity or no more than two weeks after an event such as initiations or award presentations.
