March 26 2004 Annual Purdue Boiler Blast to thank Lafayette communityWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Purdue students, faculty and staff will once again take to the streets and parks of the Greater Lafayette area from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday (4/3) for the annual Boiler Blast community beautification project. The Boiler Blast gives members of the Purdue family the opportunity to express gratitude to the community by landscaping, cleaning and making other visible improvements. Areas this year include Happy Hollow Park, Morton Community Center, George Davis Manor, Columbian Park Zoo and West Lafayette Tree Fund projects. This year's Boiler Blast is being sponsored by the Boiler Volunteer Network, Purdue Student Government, Indiana Forage Council, Pan Hellenic Association, MortarBoard, Black Graduate Association and Purdue Student Union Board.
