April 12, 2004 Jischke talks about alcohol-free Grand Alternative on WBAAWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Grand Alternative, a series of more than 40 alcohol-free events leading up to Purdue University's Grand Prix, is a focal point of President Martin C. Jischke's live radio appearance on WBAA-AM920 at 2 p.m. Wednesday (4/14). During the station's "AM920 Magazine," Jischke will field questions from WBAA program coordinator David Bunte and the listening audience. "President Jischke will talk about the university's effort to warn students of the dangers associated with alcohol abuse and high-risk behavior," Bunte says. "He will also discuss the many ways that Purdue organizations have developed over the years to provide other forms of fun and entertainment during Grand Prix weekend and the weeks prior to Grand Prix." WBAA listeners will have the opportunity to call in questions during the one-hour show. Local listeners can call (765) 496-1999, and out-of-town listeners can call toll-free at (866) 922-2101. The station's AM signal reaches about two-thirds of Indiana and is heard globally via the Web.
