Boiler Volunteer Network shares wealth of the season

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Boiler Volunteer Network at Purdue University will help out local families living at the poverty level during the holiday season with the fifth annual Season of Sharing on Dec. 1-15.

"This is a great way for anyone to show their community involvement and to share their holiday spirit to help out those in need," said Kimberly Martin, assistant dean of students for community engagement and involvement.

The Season of Sharing features a holiday tree located in the BVN office in Stewart Center, Room G4. The tree is decorated with paper angels and stars that have the name of a child or family, along with their needs and clothing sizes.

People who select an angel or star are asked to bring their unwrapped gifts to the BVN office by Dec. 15. Wish lists from families also are available at the BVN office.

The gifts will be turned in to local service agencies for distribution to families in Tippecanoe County.
