- 12-8-95 John Harbor, associate professor of earth and atmospheric sciences, has developed a new computer tool that can quickly and easily evaluate the long-term effect of new development projects on ground water supplies.
- 12-1-95 Ellen Kelly, a Purdue researcher, studies stuttering by using electrodes to monitor electrical activity in the facial muscles of 10-year-old Sarah Hammen while they talk.
- 11-20-95 Steve Shillington, a senior from Old Bridge, N.J., led Purdue's trap and skeet club to its 11th national trapshooting title.
- 10-27-95 William Zinsmeister, professor of geosciences, has discovered a bed of ancient bones that may contain the first fossilized evidence that some species were wiped out when a giant extraterrestrial object hit Earth 65 million years ago.
- 10-20-95 Tom Turpin, professor of entomology, has been selected as the Indiana Professor of the Year by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education. On his shoulder is Lucille, a New Guinea stick insect.
- 10-13-95 Java in Jeopardy. The coffee berry borer, an incestuous insect that is proving to be resistant to pesticides, may eventually drive up the price of coffee.
- 10-6-95 The Purdue Bell Tower, a new landmark at the heart of the Purdue University campus, will be dedicated Oct. 14 as part of Homecoming weekend festivities.
2) Purdue University's "All-American" Marching Band is parading to the front of the pack as the recipient of the Sudler Trophy -- the most prestigious award a college marching band can receive.

- 8-25-95 Gary Krutz, award winning professor, uses a presentation about the physics of fishing to recruit high-school students.

- 8-11-95 Issam Mudawar and David Hall test a new method they developed for spray quenching aluminum parts.
2) Steve Katsaros, a senior in mechanical engineering, displays his ceiling-mounted, fold-away bike rack.
- 5-12-95 Purdue's Friday night commencement parade winds around the water sculpture on the way into Elliott Hall of Music.
2) Shane Emoto, from Pukalani, Maui, Hawaii, gets a flower lei from his mother Beverley after receiving his degree in civil engineering.
- 5-6-95 Purdue students display their fire-starting "Fire Bean" which won them $5,000 from the Soybean Development Council.
- 4-21-95 Steelworkers prepare the structure of the Purdue Bell Tower for placement of the final "skylight" section of the 160-foot tower.

3) New Boeing 727 simulator, a gift from NASA, being "flown" by seniors in Purdue's corporate flight training program.
