December 9, 2004 Computer technology department to hold open houseWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Purdue University's Department of Computer Technology will give the campus community and public an opportunity to tour departmental facilities, learn about faculty research and see demonstrations of student projects. The open house will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday (Dec. 10). A directory of rooms and laboratories involved in the open house will be on display at the departmental office in Knoy Hall, Room 255. Students will demonstrate projects in the areas of software development, mobile computing, network security, computer forensics, wireless networking, system administration, and Internet design and implementation. Faculty and students also will be on hand to discuss and explain the projects and other work being done in the department. The event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served.
