January 27, 2005 Gov. Mitch Daniels to speak prior to Purdue Ag Fish FryWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels will be the guest speaker for the Agriculture Forecast to take place prior to Purdue University's Agricultural Alumni Fish Fry on Feb. 12 in Indianapolis. Daniels talk is titled "Agriculture's Role in Indiana's Economic Recovery." The Agriculture Forecast will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Grand Hall (formerly known as Edy's Grand Hall) at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. At the end of the talk, Daniels will take questions from the audience as time permits. The Agriculture Forecast is free and will conclude before the start of the Ag Fish Fry. Daniels replaces Charles F. Conner, special assistant to the president for agricultural trade and food assistance, who will not be able to attend the event. Tim Russert, the popular moderator of NBC's "Meet the Press" television program, will be the Fish Fry featured speaker. The Fish Fry will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Marsh Blue Ribbon Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Tickets for the Ag Fish Fry are still available and are $20. Tickets must be purchased in advance by contacting the Purdue Agricultural Alumni Association at (765) 494-8593 or via e-mail at debby@purdue.edu. A printable ticket order form is available online. Child care is available during the Fish Fry, but reservations are required. Reserved parking also is available for $5 and $10 and must be purchased in advance.
