February 22, 2005 NBA's Pacers set aside special day for 4-H membersWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Indiana Pacers will sponsor 4-H Night with the Pacers on March 20 at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Any 4-H member, along with their family and friends, may purchase discount tickets to watch the Pacers take on the New Jersey Nets. The doors will open at 2 p.m., and tipoff is at 3:30 p.m. "Last year 110 tickets were sold through this program," said Chris Cook-Leitz, Purdue University Extension specialist. "We hope for an even larger number to come out and support the Pacers this year and help 4-H Night with the Pacers become an annual event." 4-H members and guests are given a $3 ticket discount and a 10 percent discount coupon for the Home Court gift shop, to be used that day. Tickets that are regularly priced at $45 will be sold at $42, $30 tickets will be $27 and $20 tickets will be $17. Tickets must be ordered by March 7 to receive these discounts. To order tickets, visit the state 4-H Web site and click on the "What's New" link to download and print an order form. The 4-H program assists youth development by conducting hands-on educational programs using the knowledge base of Purdue University, other land-grant universities and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
