Purdue ROTC to conduct joint-services commissioning ceremony

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue University's ROTC programs will conduct their annual joint-services commissioning ceremony at 11 a.m. on Friday (May 13) in the Memorial Union's South Ballroom.

The event, which begins at 11 a.m., is free and open to the public.

Approximately 60 graduating seniors will be commissioned as either second lieutenants or ensigns during the ceremony, which honors members of Purdue's U.S. Army, U.S. Navy/Marines and U.S. Air Force ROTC programs.

Brig. Gen. Rickard Y. Newton III, deputy director for global operations for the Joint Staff in Washington, D.C., will conduct the commissioning ceremony.
