October 4, 2005 Jischke provides update on new campus constructionWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Purdue University President Martin C. Jischke on Wednesday (Oct. 5) will discuss the status and impact of several new buildings on campus. From 2-3 p.m. during WBAA Radio's live call-in show "AM 920 Magazine," Jischke will field questions from station manager Dan Skinner and the listening audience. "Purdue has several buildings that have been recently completed, are under construction or are about to break ground," Skinner said. "This push will dramatically change the look of campus and opportunities in the arts, sciences and engineering." Jischke will discuss buildings, including Discovery Park's Bindley Bioscience Center and Birck Nanotechnology Center, that are being dedicated during a 15-day series of events leading up to Purdue's Oct. 15 Homecoming. "Discovery Park is attracting millions of dollars in research money to Indiana and has attracted, and will continue to attract, the best scientists, engineers and students," Jischke said. "These buildings are changing the way Purdue conducts research." Local listeners can call (765) 496-1999. Listeners outside the local calling area can call toll-free at (866) 922-2101.
