WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University President Martin C. Jischke at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday (Oct. 15) will announce several new projects and gifts at the Purdue Homecoming celebration.

News media are invited to attend the event.

Announcements include:

• A $525,000 Guidant Foundation gift to the Purdue University Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering and Indiana University School of Medicine to establish the Biomedical Entrepreneurship Program.

• A $300,000 gift from CVS Corp. to fund the CVS Pharmacy Practice Laboratory in the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

• A $100,000 campaign by the Purdue Class of 1980 for a courtyard between the Purdue Memorial Union Building and Stewart Center.
