November 1, 2005 Purdue Technology Center firm inducted into the Inc. 500MERRILLVILLE, Ind., and HERNDON, Va. 21st Century Systems Inc., an information technology company with offices in the Purdue Technology Center, has been named to Inc. magazines Inc. 500. Inc. magazine names the 500 fastest-growing privately owned companies each year. The Inc. 500 list is a kind of "crystal ball" these unfamiliar names will be well-known in the near future. Ranked at 448 with a three-year growth rate of 319%, 21st Century Systems Inc. (21CSI) has been selected as one of these Inc. 500 Elite companies for 2005. In the announcement, Inc. 500 offers the following report on 21CSI: 21CSI develops software to help military decision makers, such as submarine captains, predict the moves of their adversaries. The product hit the market in 2000 and has been picked up by the Marines and Army in addition to the Navy. CEO Alexander Stoyen foresees "vast commercial applications" especially in emergency rooms and corporate strategy. Pete Visclosky (D-Ind.), the Purdue Technology Center of Northwest Indiana is the first satellite technology incubator modeled after the nationally recognized Purdue Research Park in West Lafayette, Ind.
