Alumni association offers holiday greeting videos

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue Alumni Association is offering a new way to send holiday greetings to friends and family this year – not through a card, but through a video.

Several locations in the Dick and Sandy Dauch Alumni Center, 403 W. Wood St., West Lafayette, will be available Dec. 3 for those who would like to tape greetings for "Forever Memories: Holiday Videos 2005."

"This is a unique, personal way for families and groups to commemorate the holiday season with a Boilermaker flair," said Todd Coleman, executive director of the Purdue Alumni Association. "PAA is excited to offer this incredible value and showcase the beautiful facility we have available for alumni at Dauch."

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., a videographer will be on hand to tape greetings in the Morse Library and by the Boilermaker Special in the atrium. From 1-4 p.m., the Rudolph Room will be available.

The "Forever Memories" package includes a video message, up to five minutes, with a group of up to 10 people; a digital photo portrait of the group; your choice of a background image for the video and photo and your choice of holiday music; an optional falling-snow effect; a DVD with the still portrait and a video clip; and a 5x7 photo print of the portrait.

In addition, the photo and video clip will be available through the Internet, and additional photo prints and DVD copies will be available online.

The price is $54 for Purdue Alumni Association members and $64 for nonmembers.

To schedule a time, as well as to view a sample video, go online.
