Garrison Keillor returning to Elliott Hall of Music

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Garrison Keillor will return to Purdue University for a live international broadcast of "A Prairie Home Companion" next month at Elliott Hall of Music.

Keillor will perform at 5:45 p.m. Jan. 28. The broadcast is presented by Purdue Convocations and WBAA, and is the second broadcast of "A Prairie Home Companion" from Purdue. Keillor was at Purdue in 2001, and the event sold out in the first week of sales.

Friends of Convocations and WBAA members may order tickets in advance by downloading an order form or by calling (765) 494-9712. Friends of Convocations and WBAA are offering a special introductory offer for anyone wishing to join these organizations. With a minimum donation of $50, patrons become members of both organizations. The deadline for advance orders is 5 p.m. Dec. 12.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Dec. 15 at campus box offices and Ticketmaster outlets. Tickets are $100, $50, $28 and $21. Tickets that are $100 and $50 include a tax-deductible contribution to support programming at Purdue Convocations and WBAA. Patrons will receive a receipt of their contribution by mail.

"A Prairie Home Companion" can be heard locally on WBAA 101.3 FM from 6-8 p.m. on Saturdays and again on AM 920 on Sundays from 2-4 p.m.
