PSUB's Mystery Dinner Theatre to give diners a taste of murder

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Amateur sleuths will get a chance to test their skills at an upcoming Mystery Dinner Theatre offered by Purdue University's Student Union Board.

Tickets are now on sale for the interactive play "Knock 'Em Dead," which will be performed Feb. 10-12 in the Purdue Memorial Union Faculty Lounges. Performances will be at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 10 and 11 and at 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Feb. 12.

"This is the fifth year for our Mystery Dinner Theatre, and it's always performed around Valentine's Day," said Maria Kelton, PSUB's former fine arts director. "While solving crimes isn't a traditional way to celebrate the holiday, it's a great date opportunity for students and the public. This is a special experience that is usually found only in large cities."

The plot of "Knock 'Em Dead" is a whodunit mystery in which the audience will use the clues to try to figure out the culprit and motive. The table that guesses both correctly will receive a prize. Dinner will be served in courses between acts.

Tickets can be purchased in Purdue Memorial Union, Room 268, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday until Feb. 10. They are $20 for students with a Purdue ID and $30 for the general public.
