Purdue Convos to auction premium John Mellencamp tickets
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Three pairs of premium seats to John Mellencamp's sold-out performance at Purdue University will be made available through a public auction on Ticketmaster.com beginning at noon Tuesday (March 21).The concert is at 8 p.m. March 31. The premium seats, which are located in the second, third and fourth rows of the main floor of Elliott Hall of Music, will be available for open-ended bidding. Bidding will end at 5 p.m. Monday (March 27). The auction is available online.
Presented by Purdue's Student Concert Committee and Jam Productions, this concert is part of Mellencamp's new "Words and Music Tour." This will be Mellencamp's third visit to Purdue and his first visit since 1999. The show has been sold out for several weeks.
Proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Friends of Convocations, a non-profit organization that supports arts performances and arts education activities offered by Purdue Convocations.
