First Purdue Research Park wellness fair to highlight traditional and contemporary topics

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue Research Park employees will have the opportunity to learn the latest techniques for improving their health and safety on April 20 during the first parkwide wellness fair.

Journalists can attend the Purdue Research Park's Passport to Wellness Fair, which will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Purdue Technology Center, 3000 Kent Ave. Opportunities will be available for interviews with Judith Hall, the research park's human resources services director, and the event's 17 exhibitors and six presenters.

The fair, which is open only to park employees, will focus on standard fitness and safety preparedness areas along with today's hot trends, such as myotherapy relaxation techniques, workplace germ defense and the mind-body-spirit connection. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in presentations that demonstrate how to prepare healthy meals, put together living wills and avoid identify theft.

Exhibitors will include the American Cancer Society, Bison Financial Group, Dr. Thayer's Nutrition Center, Greater Lafayette Health Care, Mulhaupt's Schwinn Cycling & Fitness, Myotheraphy Family Massage Center, Pet Med Spa & Rehabilitation Center, Schnaible Services & Supply Co. Inc./Purell and Tae Kwon Do Martial Arts.
