Future graduate students to convene at Purdue for Big10+ expo

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — In a cooperative effort to provide students with information about graduate education in fields related to science, technology, engineering, mathematics and agriculture, several institutions of higher education will be represented at the Big 10+ Graduate School Exposition on Sept. 25 in Purdue Memorial Union's South Ballroom.

Last year's expo attracted students with an average grade-point average of 3.59 out of 4.0 from more than 70 institutions and 30 states. Prospective student attendance at the expo and institutional attendance at the graduate school fair more than doubled from the prior year.

Students from a variety of colleges and universities nationwide are invited to attend. Qualified prospective graduate students may receive funding to partially cover travel expenses. A series of workshops will be offered to educate and aid prospective students in their search for the right graduate program.

Graduate recruiters from other institutions are invited to participate in the expo's graduate school fair. Past attendees, other than Purdue, have been Arizona State University, Cornell University, University of Chicago, Illinois Institute of Technology, Indiana University, Michigan State University, University of Arizona, University of Iowa, University of Michigan, University of Minnesota, Ohio State University, Pennsylvania State University, University of Notre Dame, University of California, University of Wisconsin, University of Texas and Washington University in St. Louis.
