Purdue organizations to offer tips for photographers

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue Student Union Board Special Events Committee and the Purdue Camera Club will offer photography tips at an event at 7:30 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 26) in Purdue Memorial Union, Room 118.

The event is part of the Purdue Student Union Board's Monthly Activities Program, or MAP. Admission is free and it is open to the public.

"Most people use cameras regularly without ever learning the simple rules for taking great photos," said Agnes Blachut, a freshman in the Department of Aviation Technology from Willowbrook, Ill., the committee's event project leader. "In one night, anyone can learn the easy secrets behind picture taking."

Each month, the Purdue Student Union Board's Special Events Committee sponsors an event that teaches new skills to students and the public. Past and future topics include financial management, career building and ballroom dance lessons.
