IU vs. Purdue Blood Donor Challenge heads into its final daysWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Students, faculty, staff and community members are invited and encouraged to participate in the final days of the 10th annual IU vs. Purdue Blood Donor Challenge through Nov. 10.
The friendly competition, which began Sept. 18, encourages Indiana residents to donate blood at any of the five participating blood agencies.
The university with the most donors will be honored at the Old Oaken Bucket football game between Purdue and Indiana University on Nov. 18 at Purdue University. Indiana University currently holds the Replica Old Oaken Bucket trophy for being victorious last year, but Purdue leads the overall series 6-3. As of Oct. 26, Purdue was leading Indiana University by more than 275 points. Here is a list of the Lafayette-area sites that are accepting donations between now and Nov. 9:

The event is made possible with the joint collaboration of the Purdue Alumni Association, Indiana University Alumni Association, American Red Cross, Heartland Blood Centers, Indiana Blood Center, Community Blood Center-Richmond and the South Bend Medical Foundation.
