Purdue NotebookOctober 26, 2006 Faculty and staff honors: The Indiana Council for Economic Education was recently awarded a five-year affiliation status with the National Council on Economic Education. The Indiana council is one of 42 such councils across the United States and actively pursues excellence in economic education by providing K-12 teachers with training and resources to effectively integrate economics into the classroom. The commendation from the national council reflects a shared mission, goals and aspirations for advancing economic and personal finance education in the nations schools. The Indiana Council for Economic Education is a non-profit, educational organization located at Purdue.
