College of Technology at Kokomo to hold a preview day for studentsKOKOMO, Ind. Purdue's College of Technology at Kokomo is holding its annual preview day for high school students in Kokomo and the surrounding area on Friday (Nov. 17).The event will take place from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Kresge Auditorium on the Indiana University Kokomo campus. Stacy Nowak, student services coordinator for the College of Technology at Kokomo, said the event gives students from Howard and surrounding counties an opportunity to see the programs the local campus has to offer. "This is a great opportunity for high school students thinking about their after-graduation plans to explore what is available at a top-notch campus that is close to home," she said. "Faculty in our various degree programs will offer hands-on demonstrations and an opportunity for students to ask questions and get detailed information about careers in technology-related fields." Groups that wish to attend the presentation should contact Nowak at (765) 455-9339 or miller72@purdue.edu. The reservation deadline is Wednesday (Nov. 15). The College of Technology at Kokomo, located on the Indiana University Kokomo campus, offers degree programs in computer graphics technology, computer and information technology, electrical engineering technology, mechanical engineering technology, and organizational leadership and supervision.
