Purdue student part of winning team at entrepreneurial challenge

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — A Purdue University student was part of a cross-university team that took top honors in the Indiana Venture Center's second annual University Entrepreneurial Challenge recently in Indianapolis.

Blake Widmer, a senior in the School of Management from Battle Ground, Ind., was part of the top team that won for its investment pitch for Brogan Pharmaceuticals.

Through a faculty selection process at each of the seven Indiana Venture Center's partner universities, 28 undergraduate juniors and seniors were chosen to represent their universities in the two-day collaborative competition. The students, faculty members and five technology companies converged to share perspectives, challenges and insights into the entrepreneurial process.
