	  <description><![CDATA[<a href="http://www.scalecomputing.com/">Scale Computing</a>, a developer and manufacturer of TrueClusterTM data storage technology, announced today that it will relocate its headquarters and begin building its operations in Indiana with the help of state entrepreneurship grants. 
<p class="MsoNormal">The company, currently headquartered in San Carlos, Calif., will move its Silicon Valley operations to Indiana with the help of a $2 million grant from Indiana&rsquo;s 21st Century Research and Technology Fund.</p>]]></description>

<p class="MsoNormal">Nestl&eacute; USA voluntarily recalled about 300,000 cases of refrigerated Toll House cookie dough products due to a link between the product and an outbreak of illnesses caused by <em>E. coli</em> in more than 25 states.</p>]]></description>

	  <description><![CDATA[Purdue Research Park officials will dedicate the 105,000-square-foot Herman and Heddy Kurz Purdue Technology Center at 3 p.m. Wednesday (May 27). The event will take place at the center, located at 1281 Win Hentschel Blvd. in the Purdue Research Park. 
<p class="FORMAT-BODY">More than 200 people are expected to attend the dedication. Heddy Kurz, the widow of a Purdue electrical engineering alumnus, made a deferred gift of $3 million toward the facility in honor of her late husband, Herman. The $14.5 million building will house the Purdue Research Foundation offices, will provide space for up to 26 companies and will support about 275 jobs. The average annual salary of employees working in the park is $52,000. </p>]]></description>

Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship. The event, sponsored by Lonergan Partners, is held annually to help entrepreneurs develop fundraising strategies for their companies. <p class="MsoNormal">The genetically engineered yeast helps produce ethanol more efficiently from the new feedstocks, known as cellulosic biomass, such as wood chips, grasses and agricultural wastes like corn stalks and wheat straw. The new yeast ferments both glucose and xylose, two major types of sugar recovered from cellulosic biomass. Conventional yeasts ferment only glucose. </p>]]></description>

	  <description><![CDATA[<A href="http://www.endocyte.com" cmid="AVNews2:Summary">Endocyte Inc.</a>&nbsp;has announced positive interim results from an ongoing <A href="http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT00511485" >Phase II clinical study</a>&nbsp;of <A href="http://www.endocyte.com/clinical.html" >EC145</a>&nbsp;in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).&nbsp; The single arm Phase II study is designed to evaluate treatment with EC145 in patients with <A href="http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT00511485" >chemotherapy-resistant NSCLC</a>&nbsp;who have failed multiple therapy regimens.&nbsp; 
<p class="MsoNormal">At the planned interim analysis, 35 percent (6/17) of patients achieved clinical benefit (CR+PR+SD), 67 percent (4/6) of patients had a duration of response of six months or longer, and one patient had significant tumor reduction (&gt;30 percent).&nbsp; All of these patients had previously failed two to eight prior therapies. Analysis of the safety data indicates that EC145 was generally well tolerated.&nbsp; Based on the positive results from the interim analysis, the two-stage clinical trial will continue on to full enrollment. </p>]]></description>

<p>The contract is for the development of a chemical and biological mass spectrometer (CBMS) for use in military reconnaissance vehicles. ICx Analytical Instruments will work jointly with ICx BioDefense to deliver a premium-class biological and chemical detection system. 	  <description><![CDATA[Endocyte Inc. has announced the initiation of a randomized Phase II clinical study of the company's investigational drug EC145 in women with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. The phase II trial, also called the "PRECEDENT study," will evaluate the efficacy and safety of EC145 when administered in combination with pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (PLD). PLD is widely used as a standard therapy for women with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. The efficacy and safety of the combination of EC145/PLD will be compared to treatment with PLD without EC145. 
<p class="MsoNormal">Ovarian cancer is the fifth most common cancer among women in the United States and the leading cause of death due to cancer of the female reproductive system. The PRECEDENT study will enroll 122 subjects and involve more than 50 clinical centers in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. <p>The new Medicare regulations for end-stage renal disease providers, which take effect Tuesday (Oct. 14), require that dialysis clinics provide both monitoring and surveillance of dialysis patients' vascular access sites. Participants were divided into five-member teams. 	  <description><![CDATA[Swift Enterprises Ltd. has unveiled a new general aviation fuel that is less expensive, fuel-efficient and environmentally friendlier than any on the market, said co-founder John Rusek. 
<p class="MsoNormal">The general aviation industry includes all flights other than military and scheduled airline flights, both private and commercial. Data on Swift Enterprises' 100 percent renewable general aviation fuel was presented April 28 at an annual meeting of an international committee that oversees aviation fuel standards. Unlike current biomass fuels, SwiftFuel is comprised of synthetic hydrocarbons derived from biomass. Rusek said it can provide an effective range (distance between refueling) greater than petroleum while its projected cost is half the current petroleum manufacturing cost.</p>]]></description>
