Purdue video streaming from YouTube channel

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University has launched a channel on the world's largest video hosting site, YouTube.

Video posted to YouTube includes segments on Purdue research and faculty, campus activities, and alumni events.

Purdue is among a handful of universities with a YouTube channel.

"We find that our alumni, prospective students and parents especially like this form of communication," said Jeanne Norberg, director of the Purdue News Service. "It is a great way to help them keep up with what's happening on campus and also share it with others."

The Purdue News Service and Office of Broadcast Services have established the channel at http://youtube.com/purdue  and have posted more than 30 videos there about research and campus activities. A link to the Purdue YouTube channel also is available at the News Service Web site at http://www.purdue.edu/news/
