Tree arrives at Union to kick off the holiday season

With ropes to hold the tree steady, workers raise this year's Christmas tree to the delight of a gathered crowd on Monday (Dec. 8) in the Purdue Memorial Union's Great Hall. The Colorado spruce tree was a donation from Jack and Karen Ferry and is from their yard in the Potters Hollow subdivision. Karen has been a Purdue employee for 31 years.
