Sen. Lugar to discuss Iraq at Purdue University
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. U.S. Sen. Richard Lugar will speak about international relations and the potential war with Iraq during a visit to Purdue University on Saturday (2/22).
Lugar will address students and answer questions at 2:30 p.m. in Fowler Hall, Stewart Center. The speech is sponsored by Purdue Student Government and is free and open to the public.
Stephanie Warner, student body president, says she encourages students and community members to take advantage of the chance to speak directly with Lugar.
"This is a unique opportunity to learn more about Sen. Lugar's vital role in our country's foreign relations policies," Warner says. "It's also a great opportunity for students to learn more about national government directly from a political leader."
