Boilermakers to celebrate Blockbuster basketball with FanFest

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue University Boilermaker fans are invited to Indianapolis on Saturday (12/13) to share an afternoon of activities before the women's and men's basketball teams play in the annual Blockbuster basketball doubleheader.

Prior to the games, Purdue officials will sponsor FanFest, a variety of activities and entertainment from 2—5 p.m. in Conseco Fieldhouse. FanFest is free and open to the public.

At 4 p.m. the Purdue women will tipoff against UCLA, followed at 6:30 p.m. when the Purdue men face Central Michigan.

FanFest highlights include:

• Photo opportunities with Santa and the Boilermaker Extra Special train;

• Children's activities, including face painting and carnival games;

• Special appearances by Purdue mascots, Pete and Rowdie;

• Performances by the Purdue Pep band and cheerleaders; and

• Refreshments.

The first 250 families to arrive will receive a free Purdue Christmas ornament.
