United Technologies executive to talk on 'Growth Through Innovation'
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. A senior vice president of United Technologies Corp. will speak to Purdue University Krannert School of Management MBA candidates on Friday (Feb. 11) in Stewart Center's Fowler Hall.
John F. Cassidy, senior vice president for science and technology for the Hartford, Conn.-based aerospace and building systems giant, will speak on "Growth Through Innovation" at 11:30 a.m. His talk, which is the Krannert School's Management Distinguished Lecture, is free and open to the public.
Cassidy is responsible for UTC's $1.3 billion annual research, engineering and development spending. He has been in his current position since 1998. He previously was director of UTC's research center and corporate director of technology management.
Cassidy is a senior member of the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Society of Automotive Engineers. He earned bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
