Council for Economic Education to sponsor Russian educators' visitWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. As part of a study tour through the National Council for Economic Education (NCEE), two Russian educators will visit Indiana on May 14-21.
Vera Sheremetova of St. Petersburg is an associate professor of economic theory as well as director of the educational and methodology unit at the St. Petersburg Branch of the Higher School of Economics. Tatiana Kamaletdinova of Kazan is an assistant professor of economics at Kazan State University.
As guests of the Indiana Council for Economic Education (ICEE), Sheremetova and Kamaletdinova will travel to Indianapolis to meet Suellen Reed, superintendent of public instruction, as well as tour several schools including those in Kokomo and Elkhart. They also will tour the IUPUI Center for Economic Education, IU Kokomo Center for Economic Education, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Chicago Board of Trade, Eli Lilly Tippecanoe Labs and the Purdue University campus.
