New manual, upcoming workshop focus on staff recruitment
The newly revised and updated Staff Recruitment and Selection Procedures manual is available through the Affirmative Action Office and Human Resource Services (HRS) Employment. Additionally, these two offices are partnering to offer a session on May 8 about "The Essentials of Staff Recruitment and Selection."
Directed toward hiring supervisors and committees as they proceed through the staff hiring process, the session will provide guidance on the search process from beginning to end.
Topics will include how to enlarge applicant pools, evaluating applicant credentials, conducting a fair and legal interview, what to include in offer letters, and successful documentation of the process.
