Purdue film forum to feature 'The Great Warming'

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — A documentary about global warming and climate change will be screened during an upcoming film forum in the Purdue Memorial Union.

"The Great Warming" will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 25) in the South Ballroom in Purdue Memorial Union as part of the Purdue Student Union Board Film Forum.

Starbucks Coffee and the Purdue Climate Change Research Center are sponsoring the event. It is free and open to the public.

Following the film, a discussion about global warming and the steps that can be taken to slow it down will be held with a specialist from the Purdue Climate Change Research Center.

The event is part of the Film Forum documentary series organized each year by the Purdue Student Union Board. "The Great Warming" will be the second installment of the series during the 2006-07 academic year.
