Purdue performers to deliver singing valentines on Feb. 14

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Romantics looking for a fresh idea this Valentine's Day will have a chance to order a Purdue Musical Organizations singing valentine for their sweethearts.

From 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Valentine's Day (Feb. 14), a group of 10 performers from the Purdue Varsity Glee Club and the Purduettes will sing a romantic tune and deliver a rose, cookie and personalized card to locations throughout the Greater Lafayette area.

Song selections include "Unchained Melody," "L-O-V-E," "Let Me Call You Sweetheart" and a personalized song that will be sung to the tune of the "Brady Bunch" theme song. Each singing valentine will end with the short tune "Will You Be My Valentine?"

Singing valentines cost $30, and orders must be placed and paid for by Friday (Feb. 9). Valentines also can be delivered by phone, but they will not include the rose, cookie or card. Limited time slots are available, and all orders will be confirmed on or before Feb. 12.
