Building construction management career fair set for Feb. 16WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue's Department of Building Construction Management Technology will hold its semiannual career fair for students on Feb. 16.
The fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Purdue Armory and is open to Purdue building construction management and construction-related majors only.
Dara Michael, placement and development coordinator for the Department of Building and Construction Management, said more than 140 companies will be in attendance to recruit students for management positions in the construction industry.
Students will have the opportunity to meet employers from construction companies who will be looking for construction students to fill full-time, intern and co-op positions. More than 400 students visit a typical career fair.
Companies with representatives at the fair will include Pulte Homes, Pepper Construction, Bowen Engineering Corp., Walt Disney World Resorts and Citgo Petroleum Corp.
The building construction management career fair is held each year in the spring and fall. The next scheduled fair is Sept. 28.

The event is sponsored by the Department of Building Construction Management with assistance from the Building Construction Management Student Organization.The Department of Building Construction Management is housed in the College of Technology and offers five undergraduate specializations: electrical construction management, mechanical construction management, residential construction management, healthcare construction management and demolition and reconstruction management.
