Volunteers organizing search for Wade Steffey

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - A community search is being organized for Sunday (March 18) in the continued effort to find Wade Steffey.

IN Hope, a volunteer group of parents of missing children, has asked other volunteers to meet them at 1 p.m. Sunday (March 18) at the Purdue West Shopping Center's back parking lot (McCormick Road entrance).

Although this is a volunteer effort, Purdue University Police have contacted area police and firefighters to encourage participation. Purdue police also are bringing in two helicopters to better map the areas to be searched.

The 19-year-old Purdue freshman was last seen Jan. 13.
