March 23 marks application deadline for homecoming king, queen

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Students who would like to apply to be part of the 2007 Homecoming King and Queen court must submit their applications by 5 p.m. Friday (March 23).To be eligible, student candidates must carry at least 12 credit hours during the fall 2007 semester and be in good academic standing. Candidates also must have at least a 3.0 GPA during the fall 2006 and spring 2007 semesters

A complete list of requirements and application forms are available from the Purdue Student Union Board office in Purdue Memorial Union, Room 268. Applications also can be downloaded at http://www.union.purdue.edu/HTML/PDF/PSUB/HomecomingKingQueenApp.pdf  

Applicants must turn in seven copies of the application form and a $10 entry fee by the end of the business day March 23 in order to be eligible. Those interested must also submit an essay, a resume and a list of activities from the 2006-07 academic year.

King and queen candidates will participate in a service project, a variety of activities and make a number of appearances during Homecoming week, which will be the week of Oct. 22.
