Reporters' Calendar: Purdue Events for Journalists
JOURNALISTS: Here is a list of upcoming events at Purdue that reporters may want to consider covering.
• May 21-22 — Energy Center, renewable resources engineering lab slate conference
• May 22 — Purdue President Jischke to speak at Lafayette Rotary
May 21-22. Stewart Center, Room 218. The Energy Center in Discovery Park and the Laboratory of Renewable Resources Engineering at Purdue will hold event on regional and national benefits of advancing biofuels as an alternative energy source. The event, a part of the 2007 Bioenergy Symposium, is titled Biofuels: Regional Needs, National Challenges. A poster session also will take place in the Memorial Union's east and west faculty lounges.

Purdue President Jischke to speak at Lafayette Rotary
May 22. Noon. University Inn, 3001 Northwestern Ave. Purdue President Martin C. Jischke, who will retire this summer, will talk about his seven years as the university's leader. Reporters are welcome to join Rotary for lunch, which is served 11:30 a.m. to noon. The program begins at noon and the speaker begins about 12:30 p.m.
