Purdue providing graduates reasons to stay, return 'home'

Dear Purdue supporter:

In this, my final Webcast message as Purdue University president, I want to share with you what Purdue is doing to plug our state's brain drain and bring the sons and daughters of Hoosiers back home -- to Indiana.

Our statewide network of technology incubators -- modeled after the nationally acclaimed Purdue Research Park -- is giving birth to new technologies and creating hundreds of high-paying Hoosier jobs. And from the banks of the Ohio to the shores of Lake Michigan, the effort is growing by leaps and bounds.

As my time as Purdue's president draws to a close, I want to tell you how much I have enjoyed the privilege of working with the extended Purdue family. I am most pleased, however, to leave you in the very capable hands of Dr. France Córdova, who in August will become Purdue's 11th president.

Thank you for supporting this great university and me over these last seven years!

Martin C. Jischke
