Purdue University Residences to hold job fairWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University Residence Dining Services is holding an employment fair 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday (June 11) at Ford Dining Court at the corner of Stadium Avenue and Russell Street.
Applicants interested in positions with Housing and Food Services should bring résumés to the food court.
Sarah Johnson, director of dining services for University Residences, said the department employs nearly 200 people in jobs ranging from cook, door checker, cashier and storekeeper to supervisory and management positions, in addition to nearly 1,000 student employees.
"We are looking for individuals who have a stable work or education history with a good attendance record. A high school diploma is preferred. Previous food service experience is not necessarily required but would certainly be a positive attribute. Purdue employees are provided an excellent benefit package as well as on-the-job training," she said.
Job candidates who cannot attend the fair can submit their resume via e-mail to Jill Ryan, Housing and Food Services human resource specialist, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
