The Manhattan Transfer cancels Purdue appearance

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The March 1 performance of the jazz vocal group The Manhattan Transfer at Purdue University's Elliott Hall of Music has been canceled.

The performance, which was set to include members of the Purdue Symphony Orchestra and the Purdue Jazz Band, has been canceled due to shifts in the group's touring schedule.

Despite strong advanced sales, Purdue Convocations was unable to reschedule the performance, said Todd Wetzel, Purdue Convocations director.

Refunds of the ticket price will be issued through May 9, 2008, at the original point of purchase. Tickets purchased through Purdue campus box offices should be returned to the box offices located in Elliott Hall of Music and Stewart Center. To contact the box offices, call (765) 494-3933 or (800) 914-SHOW.

Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster outlets must be returned to Ticketmaster in order to receive the refund. Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster's Web site or by phone will be automatically refunded on the credit card used to make the purchase.
