Northeast Purdue Agricultural Center to host annual field day

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - On Aug. 21 starting at 8:30 a.m., Purdue University's Northeast Agricultural Center is hosting an NEPAC field day at the center's research farm in Whitley County.

The event will cover many topics including glyphosate resistant weeds and new ideas of weed control chemistry, diseases that have affected crops throughout the state, soybean rust updates, and Nitrogen management and soil fertility issues.

"We hope participants in our field day are able to take away ideas on ways to improve current practices they use on their farm," said Gonzalee Martin, agricultural and natural resources director for Allen County.

This field day is free and lunch is provided.  The event will conclude at 1 p.m.

The Northeast Agricultural Purdue Center is located at 4821 E 400, Columbia City, IN 46725.
