Next Generation Solutions Ltd. offers new service plans for online registration service

MERRILLVILLE, Ind. - Executives at municipal park departments, agencies and organizations that wish to electronically market events, classes and workshops in Northwest Indiana now have more service plan options available.

Officials at Next Generation Solutions Ltd. announced this week that they have established new service plans called the Community Plan and the Enterprise Plan on their online registration service.

Mark C. Orciuch, president of Next Generation Solutions, described how the plans meet the needs of organizations depending upon the number of events they market on the site.

"The Community Plan is designed for organizations that have limited financial resources and a limited number of programs but want to provide the convenience of online registration and payment. The Community Plan with the subscriber-funded option carries no cost to organizations that select it," he said. "The Enterprise Plan targets larger organizations with more programs and will accept walk-in registrations. Both plans offer secure online credit card and e-check payments."

Orciuch said more options for the site are being designed.

"We plan to launch a free advertising-only plan that will allow organizations and individuals to submit approved free programs to the search engine," he said. "This option should be available in early spring."

The ActiveNWI Web site features a unified search engine that allows users to locate recreational programs and activities by category, keyword and start date. It was developed in partnership with the park and recreation departments of the Indiana towns of Highland, Merrillville and Schererville, which were the initial subscribers. The site also integrates with an online event calendar published by LakeNet NWI.

Active NWI was developed using Next Generation Solutions' portal content management platform, NGS*Portal, and its e-commerce payment gateway, NGS*Commerce.

Next Generation Solutions is an affiliate of the Purdue Research Park of Northwest Indiana.
